I think, maybe, it’s the the fact that regardless of what I set out to do at the beginning of the day, there is no guarantee that is what I will end up doing at the end.
I was pretty disappointed that my National Pancake Day live shot was killed today and instead I was put on weather (well, traffic) coverage, but it was okay. Worked with Bud Ford and he’s a cool cat, but that’s not really the point. Gripe and moan as I do about the news business as a whole (and being hit by snow from snowplows), it’s a rare business to enjoy such unpredictability in ones day.
